21st Century Technology Solutions Limited (“21st”) has appointed Mark Johnson as Director of International Sales
Mark, previously Director of Technology for 21st, was instrumental in the development of the company’s EcoManager product during 2008 before it was rolled out by Arriva across their UK fleet. EcoManager is aimed at reducing fuel and maintenance costs, reducing emissions and improving safety for bus operators by monitoring individual driving styles against fuel consumption. More recently, Mark oversaw the product’s European launch that has since seen EcoManager adopted by bus operators in three countries in mainland Europe.
In 2010, Mark began discussions with Scandinavian bus operators and local transport authorities to introduce the company’s CCTV products and this has resulted in the company’s expansion within Sweden through the recent £7.2m contract award by Keolis Sverige AB.
“We have a great technical and project resource built on our UK activities that allows us to take our solutions and showcase them to global transport companies and adapt them to meet the specific needs of each customer”, said Mark on his new role, adding “ I am very much looking forward to building on the success achieved to date and I believe that with our experience in supplying reliable, high quality solutions and support, we have a fantastic opportunity to grow our international sales activity significantly.”.
21st is the trading subsidiary of 21st Century Technology plc and is now active in seven countries and regarded as one of Europe’s leading integrators of on-vehicle technology. 21st boasts the largest bus CCTV WiFi network in Europe and its EcoManager product is now installed on over 6,000 buses and the company’s on board CCTV is fitted on over 12,000 buses.
